Is The Kicker CVR 12 Subwoofer As Good As People Say It Is?

Kicker have always produced high quality products at a price that can only be described as a bargain and the Kicker CVR 12 subwoofers are no exception.

Obviously there are other subwoofers available that you can get, some for less money, but you know that Kicker is a very trustworthy name and the Kicker comp CVR 12 is a prime example of just why Kicker is considered one of the best at producing car audio equipment.

The sound quality of the Kicker CVR 12 inch is very impressive. They designed the round subwoofers to handle high intensity loads while also producing excellent bass at the same time. The CVR 12 creates a deep throaty bass that you will absolutely love.

Some of the tech details for the Kicker CVR 12 sub are 400 Watts RMS (800 Watts peak) power handling, 4-ohm impedence, ribbed santoprene surround, injection molded cone,  360 degree back bracing and a 25-500Hz frequency response.

I was talking to a guy who installs car audio equipment for a living and he said that the quality of sound that you get from the Kicker CVR 12 is same as you get from other subs costing around $400. His parting comment was that if I wanted people to hear me before they see me then the Kicker Comps were the bad boys to get.

After that I got two and put them in my car and I couldn’t believe it. These are extremely loud, especially with my highs, lows and mids being controlled with an equalizer. I could feel the vibration in my neck and I could also feel the air being pushed out of them, even when I was in the drivers seat.

When my friend was driving behind me he said he could feel the bass even when he was four cars away. I would say these were nothing short of a bargain and people often comment on how good they are and can’t believe how little I paid for them..

To finish off I would just say that the Kicker CVR 12 subwoofers will give you excellent sound quality while also giving you high quality bass. I recommend using these subs in groups of 2 or 3 for the best performance but I’ll leave that up to you and how you are setting up you car audio system.
